Mission Statement
VISION To be the premier travel soccer club in the Nation’s Capital, by achieving prominence, markedly out of proportion to our size, at the local, regional, and national levels. MISSION To bring professional coaching to all committed players; to develop their technical capability, their understanding, their love of the game, and their sportsmanship. To utilize our professional expertise to identify and support each individual player’s unique talents and future. To expand the game from our base into under-served communities, opening the personal growth opportunities to all interested players in the Nation’s Capital.
About This Cause
Washington Capital United (WCU), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to fostering a competitive, nurturing, challenging, and enjoyable environment for over 300+players to realize their full potential through the beautiful game of soccer. WCU encompasses 20 teams and offers U7 through U19 programs and Development Academy. This growth signifies WCU's commitment to providing a robust, year-round soccer program for boys and girls in the Washington D.C. area who are eager to advance their skills. Our involvement in competitive leagues such as the Eastern Development Program (EDP), National Capital Soccer League (NCSL), and USYS National League ensures that our teams and players are continuously pushed to excel. At Washington Capital United, we believe in the power of soccer to transform lives, foster community connections, and create pathways to success both on and off the field.
