Mission Statement
Mission Statement Mommy & Daddy’s Little Angels Youth and Family Services Inc. (M.D.L.A.Y.A.F.S. Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering disadvantaged youth, families, and medically vulnerable individuals across New York City. Our mission is to eliminate systemic inequities by providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and community-rooted services that promote healing, hope, and opportunity. We focus on creating sustainable pathways to well-being through a holistic service model that includes educational enrichment, mental wellness programs, housing and food security, youth leadership development, and family stabilization initiatives. Since 2010, our organization has been a trusted source of support for individuals impacted by poverty, HIV/AIDS, chronic illness, homelessness, and community violence. At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to access and equity. We serve not just to meet basic needs but to restore dignity, amplify voices, and build the capacity of every individual and family we encounter. Whether through a back-to-school drive, a holiday meal, a teen art therapy workshop, or a one-on-one advocacy session, we are helping communities rise one life, one home, one future at a time.

Rooted in the heart of New York City’s most underserved neighborhoods, we provide transformative support by offering youth empowerment programs, family services, and community outreach that uplift, educate, and connect. Purpose & Vision At Mommy & Daddy’s Little Angels Youth and Family Services Inc., our purpose is rooted in service, equity, and empowerment. We exist to close critical service gaps and elevate families, youth, and seniors across New York City’s most vulnerable neighborhoods. Our organization is driven by a holistic mission: to build pathways to resilience and lifelong success through community-rooted care, culturally relevant programming, and dignity-first engagement. Signature Community Impact Programs At Mommy & Daddy’s Little Angels Youth and Family Services Inc., our signature community events serve as vital, equity-centered interventions that uplift, nourish, and empower underserved populations throughout Brooklyn, Staten Island, and surrounding boroughs. These high-impact initiatives are designed not only to meet immediate needs but to address the systemic barriers that hinder long-term wellness, academic success, and family stability. The Annual Holiday Gift Equity Campaign brings dignity and joy to hundreds of children, youth, and seniors by providing personalized care packages, toys, age-appropriate educational gifts, winter clothing, hygiene kits, and seasonal meals. This campaign ensures that low-income families and isolated elders experience inclusion, celebration, and compassionate care during a time of year often marked by hardship. Our Seasonal Coat and Shoe Drive directly addresses the critical need for weather-appropriate attire among low-income and unhoused populations. By distributing warm coats, durable shoes, and thermal accessories, we promote safety, health, and dignity throughout the harsh winter months, reducing barriers to school attendance and employment opportunities. The Teen Mental Wellness Meet & Greet anchors our Holistic Mental Health and Wellness Initiative for Underserved Adolescents, offering trauma-informed peer engagement, creative arts-based healing, culturally competent counseling, and wellness resources in a safe, affirming space. By prioritizing emotional literacy and connection, this program mitigates the long-term effects of trauma and systemic neglect. Our Comprehensive Summer Youth Enrichment Initiative integrates literacy advancement, STEM education, and nutritional equity through structured academic support, hands-on learning, and enrichment activities. With demonstrated outcomes including increased reading fluency, higher engagement levels, and reduced summer learning loss, this program prepares youth for academic success and future workforce readiness. Each initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to: Educational Equity Outreach – ensuring all children have the tools, access, and support needed to thrive academically. Food Justice – combating food insecurity through consistent, stigma-free distribution of nutritious meals and pantry staples. Community Capacity-Building – activating grassroots leadership and equipping families to advocate for long-term, systemic solutions.
