Mission Statement
End Hunger in Calvert County is a coalition of over 150 businesses, schools, churches, government and social service agencies united behind the idea that we can end hunger in our community.
About This Cause
End Hunger in Calvert County addresses hunger in our community using a two prong approach. First, we provide workforce development programs to help low income families move towards self-sufficiency. End Hunger operates a hospitality training program with two tracks; line cook and barista/ cafe management. Our students operate a coffee shop as a social enterprise with proceeds going to support the program. Second, we help ensure that hungry families have enough food to eat. End Hunger operates a 12,000 sf warehouse and distributes over 1,000,000 pounds of food annually to 44 feeding programs.
