Mission Statement
Bulldog Haven NW is a rescue and adoption organization that provides a safe place for English and French Bulldogs, mental and physical rehabilitation, rehoming, breed specific shelter assistance and more. We pride ourselves in taking in Bulldogs in extremely poor condition and doing all we can to give them a second chance. BHNW also has a Final Refuge program where dogs we take in who are too unstable to place or are in need of hospice care for terminal conditions remain in their foster home under the BHNW financial umbrella for the remainder of their time. This sanctuary option has already helped so many wonderful Bulldogs. Our organization helps English and French Bulldogs, and mixes thereof in WA, OR, ID, MT, and BC Canada.
About This Cause
Bulldog Haven NW was founded by a group of experienced Bulldog and Frenchie rescue people and owners from the Pacific Northwest region. All of our members are unpaid volunteers who love animals so much they give their time to help the dogs and the cause. Whether a Bulldog finds itself at a shelter where they feel it has needs before placement, is found by someone in the community, goes missing from their home, a puppy mill is shut down, or an owner finds themselves facing the need to find their Bulldog help outside of what they are able to give.. this is where we can help. Our team also consists of caring shelter staff who alert us of dogs who need our resources and care, Veterinarians and Veterinary Clinics who care for our dogs as if they were their only clients, Businesses who donate supplies and food for your foster dogs, and the public who donate to our program. Our organization also helps owners keep and manage their dogs. When people contact us about surrendering their Bulldog we assess the situation and see if there is anything we can do to help them keep their beloved pet. We do this for no charge to owners - we only want to take in dogs who truly need our services and we love seeing owners succeed in keeping their dogs if they can.
