Mission Statement
STAR (Seattle Tamil Arts of Rhythm) is a Seattle based Tamil traditional performance arts troupe. STAR vision is to bring all the Tamil traditional performing arts to USA and to introduce to the next generations.
About This Cause
STAR vision is to promote and spread the ancient form of Tamil folk art through music and dance across United States. Building stronger communities, neighborhoods, and economies, and we believe that artists are an important leverage point in that work. Seattle Tamil Arts of Rhythm mission is to cultivate vibrant communities by connecting Tamil artists with the skills, sharing information, and provide services to the Tamil artists. A dedicated organization to teach Tamil Culture and traditional arts in Northwest area to young adults and kids, which will touch their lives positively and they can take it forward the ancient Tamil culture and arts to our next generation. To conduct program (cultural education and shows / concerts) and to provide Human Services and other services (as approved by the Board of Directors) to benefit the Tamil cultural empowerment and as appropriate to the community at large. To promote and foster amongst all people a spirit of goodwill, understanding, and respect for the educational empowerment.
