Mission Statement

Gibby Home Fire Prevention promotes education about how to prevent home fires, provides home fire prevention resources, and installs free smoke alarms for those in need.

About This Cause

In honor of Greg Gibson (Gibby) and his dog Nino who died in a house fire on January 8, 2016, the Gibby Home Fire Prevention Campaign was created to save lives and increase awareness about how to prevent home fires. Despite home fires being the most deadly and common natural disaster in the US, many people still don't have smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, or fire escape plans! This has to change. Funds to our campaign will help us: 1- Obtain, deliver and install free smoke alarms to those in need 2- Generate fire prevention and protection awareness through social media, online, events, and educational programs. 3- Print and distribute materials, create informational videos, generate media attention, and throw impactful awareness events Our goal is reach people worldwide with our Gibby and Nino home fire prevention superheroes to make sure everyone knows how to prevent home fire deaths. We believe that through our story and the loss of our beloved Greg who was trapped and died in a home fire, others will take notice and protect themselves against the danger. Please join our fight with much needed donations. Don't let you or your loved ones go up in smoke. Together we can make a difference.
