About This Cause
At Brookside CDC, our mission to create a community of hope is brought to life through dedicated programs focused on reentry and housing. We understand that individuals impacted by the justice system face significant hurdles, including limited access to stable housing, meaningful employment, educational opportunities, and vital supportive networks. That's why we strategically focus our efforts on these critical areas. We empower individuals by providing services designed to foster self-sufficiency and help them thrive within our community. We don't do this alone. We partner with community organizations, church partners, and individuals. Together, we bring services that mirror Jesus' model of compassion and love directly to our community, rebuilding lives with the Gospel as the central motivation for all that we do. REENTRY WE BEGIN BY SEEING EACH PERSON AS AN INDIVIDUAL,NOT AS A STATISTIC. As we learn each person’s story, we are able to look past the labels and stigma associated with their background. Brookside Reentry mission is to care for those reentering from incarceration, homelessness and addiction. We do this through our Isaiah House, 18 month residential discipleship program; weekly meetings that offer community and support; and connecting individuals to services that help them on their journey and prevent recidivism. HOUSING WE PROVIDE SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO INDIVIDUALS THROUGH A COMMUNITY CENTRIC APPROACH. Brookside addresses the critical issue of unsafe, unaffordable housing that destabilizes lives and contributes to recidivism. We offer a community-centered solution that includes Isaiah Houses, Short-Term Transitional Housing (up to 18 months) based on a Housing First model, providing safe housing and intensive support for stabilization and employment. Building upon this foundation, our Traditional Housing (up to 24 months) guides residents toward permanent housing with continued support and community engagement. Through these focused programs, Brookside CDC goes beyond providing immediate assistance; we cultivate a holistic environment where individuals can truly flourish.
