Started in 2016 by the management AlphaMundi Group, AMF has a track record of working on four main pillars of technical assistance, impact measurement, blended finance solutions, and field-building related to gender lens investing, climate, and other critical sectors. Since 2018, AMF has supported 38 SMEs in 17 countries. In addition, AMF has supported its portfolio companies by leveraging USD 10 million in donor and private funding to provide Technical Assistance grants, which they have used strategically to raise follow-on private investment totaling USD 36 million. AMF’s interventions have seen these SMEs collectively achieve 96% in revenue growth since implementing its projects. In addition, AMF is currently managing the SDC funded CHF 10 million Daraja Impact Program in Tanzania in partnership with SEAF. Launched in 2023, Daraja Impact is a 5 year program that supports tSMEs and impact-driven enterprises to improve the livelihoods of Tanzanians, especially women and youth. AMF oversees the entire investment cycle from origination to screening, investment appraisal and due diligence, to structuring and negotiating the term sheets. Through Daraja Impact, AMF provides impact-linked finance (“ILF”) instruments, social incentive instruments (“SIINCs”), grants and technical assistance to SMEs that demonstrate strong business performance and sustainable impact outcomes.
