About This Cause
We are a small group of animal activists that got started because we are living in Mexico just south of the CA border and could not walk away from the homeless, hungry, scared animals we saw on the streets. We help as many as we can on a one-in and one-out basis. Our focus is not to house the animals but do the hard work of finding them good forever homes. All of the animals get the full vet treatment including vaccines, spay or neuter, de wormed, and tested for the most common diseases, before we find them homes. We tirelessly do adoption events and network with people in areas in the US where the animals can find loving forever homes. While we realize that the United States has unwanted pets as well, we partner with the Baja Spay and Neuter foundations that sterilizes hundreds of animals a month in the region. We want to expand our efforts to help elders who can no longer keep a loved pet to find the pet a home that will share knowledge of the pet with visits or other communication. Current funds are used for vet care, food and the purchase of a vehicle. We are happy to announce that we have a used RV coming that will help. us transport animals from high kill areas to places like the North West and Vancouver where they can find homes. We have been renting Vans and other vehicles for this purpose and finally have our own! We are excited to have achieved what we have. We still need funds to maintain the RV, pay vet bills, compensate fosters in Mexico, buy food and we are in need of a car for local adoption events in San Diego.
