Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide love in action to foster children as well as support to the families who are providing care for them.

About This Cause

Foster Love Project programs focus on providing connection, dignity, and hope. This is achieved by amplifying foster and adoptee voices and meeting basic needs that come with the unique challenges of foster care and adoption. The Donation Center is our largest outreach program. In 2020, we welcomed 1,000 foster youth to the donation center to shop for clothing, diapers, car seats, bedding, toys, toiletries, baby gear, cribs, and more. Families can shop once a season for either spring/summer items or fall/winter. mentorship through Teen Connections, brand-name new shoes for youth preparing to go Back 2 School, or creating memories at the annual Family Retreat, together we make up the support team for foster youth across our region. Since its inception, our outreach and support efforts have impacted 16,500 foster youth. Foster Love Project supports youth and families in a 12-county region. (Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland Counties) Additionally, as the first and only organization in the region providing such support for foster youth and their families, FLP welcomes any family who is able to drive to our center - including families from New York, Philadelphia, Ohio, and West Virginia.
