Mission Statement
Our program works with individuals, schools and civic organizations to make and decorate greeting cards. These cards are then delivered to residents of nursing homes, assisted & independent living facilities, homebound seniors and those participating in senior elderly nutrition programs.
About This Cause
This program was started in honor of our founder's grandmother who was in a nursing home and had dementia. We collect donations and cards to work with schools and civic organizations to fill out and decorate. These are then delivered to seniors in nursing homes, assisted & independent living facilities and to seniors that are homebound or participating in elderly nutrition programs. We were founded in 2016 and delivered 7,719 cards that year. In 2019 we delivered over 71,000 cards to senior communities in all 50 states. in 2019. In addition, in 2017 we started a card decorating program where we provide cards and supplies to individuals, schools and other organizations to decorate for seniors. Our goal is to address the many seniors who are alone and forgotten, but we also touch those that are lucky enough to still have family involved. In addition, we work to connect the circle of life - children to seniors - to help them understand the importance of remembering those that paved the way for us.
