About This Cause
ABPA aims to nurture current and future Black physicians to provide compassionate, human-centered healthcare for the Greater Austin community. Black physicians thrive when they are provided with opportunities for professional development, social support and community service. As we support a community of Black health providers, we are able to create a repository of excellent caregivers for the community and mentors for the next generation of Black physicians along the training spectrum. We offer scholarship and clinical shadowing opportunities in our mentorship programs for undergraduate students. In addition, our physicians are accessible through our Find-a-Black-Doctor database and partner with community organizations who focus on improving health equity for all.
