Mission Statement

Our mission is to bridge our community through world arts education, cultural events, and dinner theatre. We have a strong belief in educating our youth in the importance of culture and heritage, thus providing events that revolve around their curiosity about world music and dance. All of our events and workshops are open to people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life.

About This Cause

Donations to our charity help PWAC organize cultural events that both educate and entertain our community. We promote all performing artists, national and international, and devise ways to showcase their talent as well as orchestrate workshops for the community. Our Cafe Flamenco event is presented almost three times a year, which brings a traditional Spanish Flamenco “tablao” to our audience; this event exposes our community to flamenco artistry and history. We make sure to keep dinner theatre alive. De Color y Llanto, which translates to “Of Color and Pain,” is a world arts showcase, which reflects the cultural talent within our community, bridging the many cultures within our community and having them perform under one roof. We value the arts and our artists, so all performers get paid for their work. All of our events are in a dinner setting, providing authentic foods from around the world. PWAC also values educating our youth. Flamenco classes are offered to children of all ages and then are invited to perform what they have learned during our professional events. They get first hand experience working with professional performers and gain knowledge in stage etiquette. They wear traditional flamenco attire and are offered an experience of a lifetime. Our organization does its best to provide opportunity for the youth, whether it be trying new foods or attending a flamenco dance or singing class. We feel that by bridging our youth in the understanding that we all come from different backgrounds but can partake of something new and culturally different, then we can strengthen their character and minimize the amount of phobia and discrimination in our world. It is our priority to teach the child, and not just a class.
