Mission Statement
REVA (Rare Earth Vibration Association) develops creative art experiences that educate, inspire and heal people and communities. Often, access to the arts is limited by economic and systemic barriers that we are committed to addressing in our educational programs. A society is stronger if all the gifts of its citizens are able to be nurtured to fruition. We strive to make these pathways real. Our focus is on arts education programs for underserved communities, and creative performance and public art programs.
About This Cause
At REVA (Rare Earth Vibration Association), we believe in the healing power of the arts, and that each genuine voice brings us closer to peace. We each - all of us - have our own unique vibration, and when we create, be it through music, visual arts, poetry or other arts, we are able to inspire others to seek and voice their genuine selves. Together we create an interdependent web of uniqueness. This diversity is strength. Our recent programs include Global JazzWomen, an online weekly meeting facilitating networking, communication and leadership for women and girls who play jazz with a focus on African women including an annual education and performance festival; Reva online learning bringing music to seniors in home; Sharing Resources program for arts organizations in the SF Bay Area; micro grants for music instrument repair business entrepreneurs in Africa; in person and virtual workshops and performances with our music ensembles; a record company to facilitate distribution of underrepresented musicians. Other musical and multi-genre performance programs are currently under development.
