About This Cause
Heart of Texas Region CPSO is a division of the Texas Destination Imagination (formerly known as TXCPSO). It includes the counties of Lampasas, Burnet, Williamson, Bell, Coryell, McLennan, Falls, and Limestone. Included are all school districts, private schools, parochial schools, home schools and other organizations located within the boundaries of the above counties. Special note: Also included are Independent teams and district teams that are within the school district boundaries of school districts based in the above counties. To participate in Destination Imagination events, each school puts together one or more teams which are tasked with solving a variety of mentally challenging, critical thinking problems.Competition is a large part of how the Destination Imagination system works, and by producing creative and successful solutions to the given challenges, teams can win regional tournaments and climb the Destination Imagination hierarchy to state level tournaments and even national level tournaments. Ultimately, both Heart of Texas Region CPSO and Destination Imagination aim to develop problem solving skills, teamwork abilities, and help nurture creativity in their participants.
