Mission Statement
The Texas National Guard Foundation was established in 2016 as a 501c(3) non-profit under the National Guard Association of Texas to promote awareness, understanding, recognition and appreciation among the private sector and the general public for the role and responsibilities members of the Texas Military Department perform in support of National Defense Component of the United States. The foundation raises and disperse monetary contributions from the private and public sector to complement and support funding of events and activities in support of military service members in the State of Texas, and to assist servicemembers and their families following natural disasters. In 2017 following Hurricane Harvey the Texas National Guard Foundation distributed over $20,000 in donations to Soldiers and Airmen serving in the Texas National Guard affected by the hurricane.
About This Cause
The Texas National Guard Foundation was established to promote awareness, understanding, recognition and appreciation among the private sector and the general public for the role and responsibilities members of the Texas Military Department perform in support of National Defense Component of the United States. As well as the role and responsibilities of service members in the active or reserve components of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy perform in support of National Defense and Security of the United States. The foundation raises and disperse monetary contributions from the private and public sector to complement and support funding of events and activities in support of military service members in the State of Texas, and to assist servicemembers and their families following natural disasters. The foundation also sponsors conferences, forums, research, and meetings that include the professional development of members of the Texas Military Department. They work to educate the general public concerning the role and responsibilities of the Texas Military Department.
