Mission Statement
CityBridge Education incubates new schools in Washington, D.C. We are laser-focused on creating the pipeline of new schools and new school models that will deliver improved results for our students. Called 25 in Five, our plan is to launch 25 new or redesigned schools in Washington, D.C., by 2022.

CityBridge Education incubates new schools in Washington, D.C. We are laser-focused on creating the pipeline of new schools and new school models that will deliver improved results for our students. We leverage time, talent, and resources to support high-performing schools in Washington. Three distinct approaches define our work. INVEST IN SCHOOLS. CityBridge supports the launch, expansion, and replication of high-performing public schools and the intervention strategies to support low-performers. Each new high-performing school transforms the futures of several hundred children, and schools are the best leverage point for philanthropic investment. INCREASE TALENT. CityBridge supports talent development organizations that recruit new and experienced teachers, train school leaders, and provide outstanding coaching and guidance to schools. Access to talented teachers and leaders is consistently cited as the largest barrier to overall school improvement. MOBILIZE CHAMPIONS. Progress in our schools relies on sustained commitment from parents, educators, civic and business leaders, and philanthropists. Part of our work is to identify these leaders, the strong corps of people who will champion education for years to come, and engage them in the improvement of D.C.’s education system.
