Mission Statement
Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre elevates the voices of women by reimagining the classics. By investing in the growth of our artists, we nurture an inclusive and collaborative community that creates artistically excellent work. We define woman as anyone who identifies as a women some or all of the time.
About This Cause
Hedgepig strives to expand the canon of classics by including historically excluded voices. Our flagship program is Expand the Canon--a program and resource that demands that excellent plays by a diverse set of women be included in the canon and staged around the world. We nurture an ensemble of passionate artists, produce 1-3 plays each year for our local Brooklyn community, and advocate for equality on stages internationally.
