Mission Statement

Ohio Valley Youth Network Mission Statement: The OVYN is an alliance of local agency leaders, educators and youth workers. Members share ideas, plan events and support local year round programs to improve the lives of children and youth. Collaborating with non-profit, government and business sectors, the OVYN maximizes social impact to benefit local youth in the fields of health, social services, education, ethics, and the arts.

About This Cause

The OVYN Sycamore Center After School Program provides free of charge, daily classes, and meals to 350 students aged 5 to 18 in a beautifully restored historic church building, located at 301 North 4th Street, steps away from Steubenville High School and Wells Elementary School. The program provides a healthy, safe, and caring environment to Jefferson County's most vulnerable children. After school programming is essential to the health and safety of Steubenville's downtown core and the rebirth of community pride. Our after-school classes build up the emotional and behavioral health of our children and families by offering a variety of classes which include topics addressing healthy choices, personal safety, education, culture, and recreation.
