Mission Statement
Sound Waves Payee is a non-profit representative payee organization created to serve the greater Seattle area. In particular, Sound Waves Payee seeks to build relationships with mental health and other community based service providers serving individuals impacted by chronic homelessness, mental health issues, and/or chemical dependency. Sound Waves Payee will manage Social Security benefits for individuals who are otherwise not able to manage their own money. The goal is to support their housing by paying rent, disburse their money on a weekly basis to foster stability, and provide financial management support and planning. Ultimately, Sound Waves Payee seeks to improve the quality of life of individuals by stabilizing their financial situation so that they can more fully focus on their mental health treatment.
