" Clarinettissimo envisions a dynamic community of clarinettists, educators, and music lovers enriching art and music in Western Washington and beyond. Our mission is to encourage the education and performance of clarinet and wind instruments through festivals, school visits, workshops, concerts, and more, in Western Washington and beyond. Our Values: Great music is for everyone. Music makes vibrant communities. Clarinet education and performance are important. Chamber music with wind instruments is an important but neglected art form. "
We believe great music is for everyone. Clarinettissimo is an art music presenting organization that produces high-quality chamber music events throughout Western Washington on it's Orca Concert Series, and with it's Clarinettissimo Clarinet Festival. Current and former performers on the Orca Concert Series include musicians who have performed all over the world, with such fine groups as the New York and Berlin Philharmonics, Metropolitan Opera, Philadelphia Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Marlboro Music Festival, and at all the fine halls of the world.
It started in 2001, when Sean Osborn produced the first Clarinettissimo concert. Since then, it has grown to a weekend-long festival, and a concert series. We run the Orca Concert Series, which includes the Clarinettissimo Clarinet Festival, a free festival of concerts, master-classes, workshops, vendors, and a community clarinet choir, now in its 17th year.
We also do school visits, including performances, workshops, coachings or other educational activities.
