Mission Statement
We create alternatives to incarceration for youth and young adults by rebuilding our communities through committed relationships centered on love, compassion, and consistency.
About This Cause
We: • Create alternatives to the carceral system through rebuilding our communities. • Serve primarily Black and brown youth and young adults in King County by connecting them to Ambassadors with shared life experience. • Believe criminalization and ostracization are ineffective deterrents to unproductive behaviors; and the carceral system further harms people who have already been negatively impacted by trauma. Our Programs: • Family Integrated Transitions CP-FIT supports young people currently incarcerated or at-risk of incarceration. • School Based Programming This preventative programming offers weekly culturally relevant curriculum, mentorship, and healing circles as well as Safe Passage to and from school. • Not Forgotten This holistic program serves individuals transitioning from the carceral system into community. Our approach is intrinsically informed by the needs of our community. By bringing this personal approach and lived experience, our team can navigate systems, assisting with employment, education, stable housing, financial literacy, family reunification and cultural connection. • Recovery Navigators Program Working in hand with LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion), Recovery Navigators Program (RNP) provides community-based outreach, intake, assessment, and connection services as well as long-term intensive case management and recovery coaching services to youth and adults with substance use disorders. • Deep Dive Deep Dive focuses on young men who are most vulnerable to being the victim of or participating in gun violence and provides mentorship and connections to vital resources. • Seattle Community Safety Initiative (SCSI) Through Community Safety Hubs, Hot Spot/Crisis Response and Safe Passage, SCSI offers resources for individual and families impacted by gun violence, builds and strengthens neighborhood safety, restores community connections, and promotes neighborhood pride and ownership. • Regional Peacekeepers Collective (RPKC) In partnership with Public Health - Seattle & King County, RPKC provides services such as critical incident response and hospital-based response, intensive engagement and wrap-around life-affirming care and resources to individuals and families impacted by gun violence.
