About This Cause
Founded in 2002, UCSD Raas Ruckus is a student-run, non-profit organization representing UC San Diego as UCSD’s premier Raas-Garba dance team. We are a team of driven individuals whose goal is to compete at the national championship—Raas All-Stars—amongst the eight best teams in the United States. Each year, we put together an original set that includes themed costumes, props, music, and choreography, and we showcase this set by competing in cities like Orlando, Houston, Richmond, Austin, and many more! Our mission is to celebrate and promote South Asian and Gujarati culture on and off campus.
