Mission Statement
The Cajun Navy Relief group, hereafter referred as "The Navy", is a nonprofit organization that was assembled as a first responder rescue team designed and intended to augment search and rescue efforts with local Law enforcement agencies in the aftermath of major disaster events throughout the Gulf coast and beyond. By the immediate assembly of private sector resources, and thus unburdened with regulatory red tape, the Navy’s focus is the marshaling of prepositioned and authenticated personnel, equipment, and supply resources for immediate deployment as a tactical force to assist and support Law enforcement, Emergency Preparedness and Response, The Army National Guard, Fire Rescue, FEMA, Coast Guard, and other disaster response agencies engaged in the event. "Responding to the threat."
About This Cause
The Cajun Navy Relief, 501 (c)3 is the FIRST organization to register for non-profit corporation, on 9/2/2016. The Cajun Navy Relief had a ticketing system and dispatch system. We are currently retrieving numbers pertaining to size, scale, and scope of the rescue operations from incoming rescue calls to numbers of boats and rescue teams, as well as dispatchers and ticket verifiers. These numbers will serve to show the unbelievable under-taking and operation that is in place. We at Cajun Navy Relief fully attribute our successful operation to the numerous volunteers who worked tirelessly with us, under our system. We also attribute this joint success to a unified effort WITH local and state government agencies and First Responders in both Louisiana and Texas, as well as federal agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and ATF. Our volunteers worked hand-in-hand with members of Coastguard, often allowing Coastguard to boat share their assets to work in coordinated team efforts. Our dispatchers even sat within EOC locations to effectively and efficiently minimize operation redundancy and maximize resources. We at Cajun believe in "all-hands-on-deck" and we recognize that our efforts are made possible because of so many selfless volunteers. In the days following Harvey we have also worked tirelessly in relief efforts. We coordinated various large scale material donations, medical supplies, and coordinated usage of trucks, planes, helicopters and other large operational vehicles to efficiently hit-the-ground-running.
