Mission Statement
By connecting the generosity of our donors we strive to improve the lives and well being of children and senior citizens from low income families. We provide requested gifts to those in need, including but not limited to all new: clothing, coats, gloves, slippers & blankets, personal hygiene products, food and shelter, small household necessities, items of entertainment - Toys, games, books, music, backpacks filled with school supplies, bicycles & scooters. Making their life a little easier, making a difference. Bringing smiles to children and grandparents brings comfort to the whole family.
About This Cause
Adopt a Family Program is a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization, committed to helping local Children & Senior Citizens living in low-income families, foster care and transitional living centers by connecting the generosity of our donors to provide gifts for the children and seniors in the family. We rely on the generosity and financial commitments from our donors and adopters so that we may bring smiles to children and grandparents. With our donors help, we continue to thrive, giving assistance to improve quality of life for low income families within our local surrounding communities. We offer annual and ongoing community outreach giving programs: Back to School Backpack Program, BirthdayMagic, Christmas Gift Giving, Holiday Toy Drive, Domestic Abuse Assistance, First Responder & Law Enforcement Family Assistance, Adopt a Senior & Winter Coat Drive. During 2023, our Toy Drive collected over 3,500 toys that were given to kids. Our Christmas Program gave gifts to approximately 2,200 children living within 800 Families, Foster Care and active Child Protective Services cases. Our Back to School Program gave new backpacks filled with new school supplies. Other Programs: BirthdayMagic, Domestic Abuse & 1st Responder Family Assistance, Senior Citizens Assistance. Gifts include but are not limited to toys, bicycles, sporting goods, backpacks, school supplies, lap tops, video games, basic household needs, blankets, clothing and food. Our programs provide joy to the children, improving the well being of the entire family. Our mission statement: Bringing smiles to children. Our staff is volunteer, no wages or salaries paid. Every dollar goes directly to operating the programs to help people or to purchase gifts.
