About This Cause
Ultimate Impact is more than a sports program. We prioritize youth development and relationships with families and communities. Coaches don’t teach to win. They teach to foster the social emotional development of youth. By using ultimate Frisbee’s Spirit of the Game philosophy as the framework for youth development, players build confidence, resolve disputes through effective communication, and learn to respect decisions made by opponents. The Spirit of the Game creates a community based on trust, communication, confidence and responsibility. These skills translate off the field, in school and life. We believe that where you come from does not limit where you go. Having confidence, experiences, and access to opportunities are critical to success. We believe: In making a measurable and lasting positive change in the lives of kids. In being goal-oriented and that it takes hard work to accomplish positive change. In continual evidence-based learning, growth and innovation. In being accountable. Providing confident mentorship will create new mentors. Through weekly sessions, peer interaction, and consistent adult mentorship, Ultimate Impact creates a positive environment for youth to have fun, be active, and build community.
