K-Nation Group has significantly impacted the Dallas County area through various programs and initiatives. Key Programs and Initiatives: Genius Center: The flagship program of K-Nation Group, dedicated to supporting at-risk youth. It includes a makerspace with a focus on AI, design, entrepreneurship, and other innovative fields. The Genius Center has a contract with the Dallas County Juvenile Department and is working towards establishing itself within a charter school. Community Feeding Programs: K-Nation Group has provided over 1 million meals to the community and continues to serve low-income apartment communities. The organization also plans to distribute free pre-packaged meals to kids once a week in the Seagoville Super One parking lot. SFSP Program: A program offering shelf-stable meals, focusing on providing nutritious food options for children, including items like sunflower seeds, yogurt, Tasty Brand Lunchables, Uncrustables, and pizza. Partnerships and Collaborations: Texas State University: A significant partner in the NSF INCLUDES grant for the Genius Center Summer STEEAAM Program, aimed at providing immersive STEM experiences for youth. Faith-Based and Community Engagement: Although not a faith-based organization, K-Nation Group is closely connected to the faith-based community, collaborating on various events and initiatives. Events and Conferences: Annual Mental Health Conference and Concert: Dr. Alexis plans to host one big mental health conference and one concert per year under K-Nation Group, involving local influencers, celebrities, and musicians. 'All Things HER' Conference: A conference focused on Christian women, including prophetic sessions, networking mixers, and other events. Challenges and Future Goals: K-Nation Group has faced funding challenges, leading to furloughs and the search for a new space. The organization is actively seeking grants, contracts, and partnerships to sustain and expand its programs. The organization is also working towards establishing a nonprofit accelerator program and a shared coworking space for nonprofits, providing a platform for growth and collaboration among community organizations. Overall, K-Nation Group is dedicated to empowering underserved communities through a multifaceted approach, including education, food security, and community engagement, with a strong focus on innovation and collaboration.
