About This Cause

Powering the Next Generation of Women in Tech Rewriting the Code (RTC) is the premier global tech talent community for women, reshaping who leads, builds, and innovates in technology. Through community, mentorship, financial access, and career connection, RTC equips 33,000+ women with the support and resources they need from college to early career and beyond. 1. RTC Is Community-First, Always RTC is not another event-based initiative—it’s an active, 24/7 network built around authentic, peer-driven relationships. From Slack channels to in-person meetups, our members connect daily to share advice, opportunities, and support that fuels resilience and growth. For our members, it's not about being in tech alone—it’s about thriving in tech together. Why It Matters: Tech can feel isolating for women, especially early on. RTC provides continuous belonging and validation across every stage of their tech journey. 2. From College to Career, RTC Shows Up With presence at 950+ colleges and a rapidly growing early-career community, RTC is a launchpad and lifelong guide. We help members navigate career-defining decisions—from choosing a major to negotiating a raise—with structured, year-round programming that adapts to their needs. Standout Program: Rise with RTC delivers non-fluffy, practical content—like how to decode corporate culture, land your first offer, or manage up—topics critical to success but rarely taught in class. 3. RTC Breaks Down Barriers That Shouldn’t Exist Through the Future of Tech Fund, we’re distributing $1.5M+ in fast, trust-based aid to help women in computing persist through financial strain. Our model respects dignity and speed, with members receiving grants in days, not weeks, to stay focused on their education and future. Why It Works: The biggest reason women leave tech is financial barriers. Our approach combines practical support with community scaffolding, ensuring women don’t just start in tech but stay in tech. 4. Companies & Foundations Partner with RTC for Real Outcomes RTC helps employers go beyond DEI “check-the-box” efforts by connecting them with an engaged, verified talent community growing by 150+ members each week. Our year-round engagement drives higher conversion and retention rates than career fairs ever could. Philanthropic partners, meanwhile, gain transparent metrics, scalable solutions, and the chance to power real systems change rather than just fund temporary fixes .
