Mission Statement

LCFF supports the educational development of children in Greater Louisville, inspiring an openness and curiosity about the world through the showing of high-quality, diverse films. We provide venues for filmmakers who make uplifting and relevant films for children, youth and families. The Festival creates opportunities for Louisville’s diverse communities to connect through powerful stories and images from around the world. Audience members are encouraged to extend the viewing experience and to learn about filmmaking through workshops with writers, technicians, and artists.

About This Cause

Louisville Children’s Film Festival, Inc. (http://www.louisvillechildrensfilm.org) is an annual festival for children and families, a non-profit organization dedicated to programming and supporting independent film and video. Last year, LCFF screened more than 20 films from all over the world and reached more than 1,100 participants at festival events. Louisville Children’s Film Festival 2019 will take place in 3 main locations in Louisville and Southern Indiana and satellite locations, with screenings offered to the general public and school groups. Dates for the 2019 Festival are Friday, February 22 through Saturday, March 2. Weekday screenings and workshops for school and childcare groups will be scheduled on weekdays from February 22 to March 1.
