Mission Statement
Over 40 years ago, local community members began to imagine how our community could support those at the end of life and their families. Dedicated community volunteers and health care providers raised funds and freely gave their time to form Hospice of North Idaho in 1981, making hospice care a reality in our community. This group provided a wonderful gift of love and support to meet the end-of-life needs of our community. Over the years, with the generous support from the community, Hospice of North Idaho has flourished, providing superior patient and family-centered care end of life care.
About This Cause
As the community’s only local, non-profit hospice, we have a mission to provide the highest quality care possible to everyone in our community, regardless of a person’s ability to pay for services. When it comes to hospice providers, we are different. In addition to being the most experienced hospice provider in North Idaho, we offer our patients and families something else; a depth of services unparalleled by any other hospice in the state. Services such as Idaho’s only Hospice House, our pet therapy program, comprehensive grief and loss services for adults and children, including a grief camp for kids, and our volunteer force of nearly 300 trained individuals only scratch the surface when it comes to what we can offer you and your loved ones.
