Mission Statement
The Discovery School at Beechwood is a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool program that has partnered with the Audubon Society of Western PA, and is located at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve.
About This Cause
The Discovery School at Beechwood is licensed as a private academic school through the PA Department of Education. We are a child-centered preschool program serving children ages 2 years, 7 months to 5 years old. Our half day program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood learning. This Approach values children's innate sense of wonder, and allows them to construct meaning of the world around them through play and exploration. Our unique location, Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, provides the ideal setting for learning and discovery.
