About This Cause

ICSC is a holistic community-based agency hub for enriching lives and preparing young people to achieve self-sufficiency, excel academically, and learn marketable skills to further their careers through the following key areas of Educational Support, Academic Enhancement, Social Development, Vocational/Trades, and Life Skill Enrichment. ICSC is a multi-service entity that addresses several spiritual, charitable, and educational services for Indigenous People and other Nationals and Citizens; particularly our youth. These services include but are not limited to, conservation of resources to underserved communities, promotion and encouragement of spiritual, physical, and mental health along with the uplifting of young people to attain a thriving quality of life. Indigenous Community Service Center has served youth and their families since 2014. ICSC provides services throughout metropolitan Chicago and participates in coalitions to network, collaborate, and maximize the services available to our community. Through these partnerships, a comprehensive referral-based network of services is provided, including violence prevention, workforce development, mentoring and academic support, supportive services for those in crisis, and technical assistance to area nonprofits. Services are provided by licensed spiritual counselors, recovery coaches, peer counselors, volunteers, and former school administrators with graduate degrees that are committed to helping our clients and their families realize quality of life through mental/behavioral, recovery, and health supports, instilling nutritional values and building stronger, healthier communities. Our staff includes certified community organizers, certified recovery coaches, and social workers as well as certified drug and alcohol counselors, with a multitude of strengths and specialties. Mental health professionals employed by our agency partners provide services to those needing health and wellness support. In conjunction with many other corporate and community-based partners, ICSC has embarked on a journey to help connect families to the building blocks of economic stability, income, education, and health, by offering an array of services: Individual and Family Counseling, Substance Abuse Treatment, Group Counseling, Expressive Therapy Groups, Prevention Services, Summer Programming and so much more.
