Mission Statement
Shinto Shrine of Shusse Inari in America, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the American branch of Shusse Inari Jinja located in the city of Matsue in the Izumo region of Shimane Prefecture. We are working to introduce the nature friendly, sustainable, traditional Japanese way of living to the world so that the next generation may enjoy nature as we do! We believe if more people follow this traditional way of living, the world will value and protect nature, stop climate change, save endangered species, and embrace clean energy and the environment! Shusse Inari Jinja has been respected by the feudal lords of Matsue, as well as the area’s local people, since the 12th century.
About This Cause
We are raising funds to obtain Shrine location and the world fist mobile Shinto Shrine. Our Shrine location will also function as a community center to learn sustainable lifestly, and will hold various events in person and on zoom. A mobile Shrine which we can go beach and mountain to hold Earth Day ceremony and nature related event! Please get involved in our Shrine Building and mobile shrine Project.
