Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower youth to explore the outdoors alongside mentors, sharing awe and the richness of our natural world.
About This Cause
Our vision for Elevate Youth is to deliver long-term life skills development to urban youth through progressive outdoor programs that cultivate the strength of mentoring relationships. We intend to provide value to the communities where we operate. We are not aiming to offer one- time help and get out; rather we pursue social justice through environmental stewardship, youth empowerment, community service, and opportunity. We work with youth organizations and schools in the Boston area to provide year round outdoor programming. We operate nature based outings that have a maximum of 12 participants with the support of a trained staff member. Depending on the program partner we may incorporate volunteers from our partner program. All transportation, food, equipment, clothing is provided at no cost for all our youth and adult mentors. We aim to spark a lifelong love of the outdoors through equitable access and routine immersion in nature as a way to foster agency and lead holistic, healthy lifestyles. We work alongside our youth to elevate their voices as the next generation of diverse environmental stewards.
