Mission Statement
We build healthy, active, and connected communities using recess, organized sports, and playful learning. Our social mission it to restore recess in schools as 42% of schools have canceled recess.
About This Cause
42% of schools have canceled recess. Recess Cleveland builds pop-up playspaces featuring kickball, dodgeball, bounce houses, zorbs, food, music, arts and crafts, and other fun play activities to help families exercise more, relieve stress, learn from shared experiences, do good, and connect with their community. We're looking for volunteers of all ages to bring their favorite recess games to our events. We also have a new STEM program called RecessLabs. RecessLabs is a mobile RV filled with various hi-tech toys including gaming laptops, interactive projector, VR (Oculus) and other fun tech toys we use to attract families into learning how to code.
