Mission Statement
A Little More Support is focused on providing support to under-privileged children, specifically to those who are struggling with their daily lives financially on food and clothing. The organization also focuses on providing scholarship to students who are doing exceptionally well academically but are struggling financially. Children in crisis can apply for different programs that we offer and obtain financial support to help with their living. Please refer to our Programs page for more information. Children are our future. Think of all the problems we are facing right now. If our children had the right up-bringing and education, they will discover how to solve problems, and not to create problems to begin with. Help children to become a positive contributor of the society will make a positive future for mankind. “Children are our future” – This quote can’t possibly be more true. Yet, children are the most vulnerable in the society. They don’t have the power to defend themselves against danger. They don’t have the means to provide for themselves. What are the most basic human needs? To not be hungry, to be warmly dressed, to have shelter, and to be loved. What are the privilege of a child? To be innocent, to be worry free, to have the capacity to grow physically and mentally, and to have the opportunity to learn and thrive. Under-privileged can’t have any of the above. Yet, we count on all children to be our future. More need to be done. ALMS is addressing these problems by offering our programs. First, ALMS can help a child by providing lunch money. Second, ALMS can help by granting scholarship. Third, ALMS can help by donating funds and/or goods to children homes. Children who receive help from ALMS will be more likely to give back to the society in the future. They will influence their children, family and friends to do the same. This will create a positive cycle of giving and helping others, and re-enforcing the improvement of our society.
About This Cause
A Little More Support’s mission is to help under-privileged children and students who are struggling financially. Children are the future pillars of the society. They should not worry about their daily basic need such as food and clothing. Our program is to help alleviate their basic concern, thereby allowing them to focus on their development, and giving them hope to succeed. ALMS will conduct series of events to raise fund to support these children in crisis. These events include competitive tournaments in Badminton, Table-Tennis, Tennis, Marathon. The organization will also conduct non-sport events such as wine tasting, auction, family related activities. Proceeds raised during the events will be used to help children in crisis.
