About This Cause
Community driven collaboration for greater collective impact. Access to outdoor recreation makes north central Washington an attractive place to live, work, and play, but the region's growing popularity is putting a strain on our existing resources. In 2017, grassroots community planning efforts identified the need for a central coordinating body to foster a more unified approach to outdoor recreation planning and management in the area. In 2019, TREAD evolved to fill this crucial role, and today we work with a diverse community of partners to enhance communication and drive collaboration around the shared goal of ensuring a sustainable future for outdoor recreation in the region.
