Mission Statement
Drag Story Hour NYC (formerly Drag Queen Story Hour NYC) produces storytelling and creative arts programs for children and teens, presented by local drag artists, in libraries, schools, and other community spaces in all five boroughs of New York City, and virtually. Through fun and fabulous educational experiences, our programs celebrate gender diversity and all forms of difference to build empathy and give kids the confidence to express themselves however they feel comfortable.
About This Cause
Drag Story Hour NYC produces storytelling and creative arts programming from childreen and teens, presented by local drag artists, in libraries, schools, and other community spaces in all five boroughs of New York City, and virtually. Every donation we receive goes directly into our programming, and we pride ourselves on being able to reach youth on an almost daily basis. During 2022, DSH NYC produced over 244 programs, and by end of June 2023, DSH NYC will have produced almost 150. Our work is our passion, and we strive to bring joy, gender diversity, vibrancy, and empathy wherever we go.
