Scholars of Finance partners with universities and financial institutions to provide educational and mentorship opportunities that inspire leadership, integrity, and an ethos of capital stewardship among students aspiring to be leaders in finance.
About This Cause
Scholars of Finance (SOF) is an innovative non-profit, currently established in Chicago, Minneapolis, New York, and San Francisco, that helps develop the next generation of highly capable financial executives, who will act and lead from a strong grounding in principles and ethics. We help undergraduate finance students build character and lead with integrity. SOF does this through leadership symposia, speaking engagements, one-on-one mentorship, and a transformative financial leadership development program. Our financial system facilitated the 2008 meltdown. A system made up of individuals, team members, and leaders. It only took a few bad or short-sighted actors to devastate our economy, ruin the lives of people in our communities, and prolong a poor reputation for the finance industry…. and it could happen again. Scholars of Finance is dedicated to preventing future financial crises; a future where all finance leaders are stewarding the world’s capital for the purpose of serving the greater good; where there are Scholars of Finance sitting in every boardroom upholding shared principles of integrity and stewardship. To drive long-term global economic benefit we are transforming the culture within financial organizations through a bottom-up approach. We partner with universities, financial institutions, and top finance executives to provide educational and mentorship opportunities that inspire values-based leadership, integrity, and stewardship among undergraduate university students aspiring to be leaders in finance.
