Mission Statement
Madelyn’s Fund supports NICU patients and their families, including those who experience the trauma of infant loss.
About This Cause
By assisting with unexpected expenses related to a family's NICU stay, Madelyn’s Fund hopes to not only reduce the impact of the financial stressors of having a medically fragile baby in an intensive care nursery, but also strive to support parents’ confidence in feeling that they know their child best. This support increases the likelihood of success in meeting their child’s developmental and medical needs after discharge home.Assistance includes transportation costs to and from the hospital, lodging and meals, and supplementing for loss of income by helping families maintain necessary household expenses, such as utilities, while they are unable to work. For families who face the tragedy of infant loss, Madelyn's Fund also assists with funeral costs.
