About This Cause
Inclusion NextWork (INW) is a global collaborative of next-generation leaders committed to IDEAS: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Social justice. Our mission is to empower new voices and promote connection, collaboration, and innovation amongst leaders of the ‘now-generation’ to advance our collective capacity to drive social change. Since early 2018, INW has lived this mission by hosting monthly virtual community conversations with subject matter experts on a variety of IDEAS-related topics, served as a platform for exchanging best practices, and connected community members to resources and mentorship opportunities. INW’s Founding Team and Board came together under the auspices of this DC- incorporated non-profit in recognition that our increasingly fractured society requires new and innovative approaches to leadership and community. Millennials and Generation Z represent the most diverse generations across every dimension of difference. But just because greater diversity amongst our peers is a reality does not mean we live and breathe the values of IDEAS by default, are inherently more inclusive, manage our biases better, or can do away with diversity work entirely. As such, current and emerging leaders sourced from these generational cohorts have a responsibility to develop strong IDEAS competencies to honor and integrate our identities, perspectives, and lived experiences to better meet the challenges of today and beyond.
