Mission Statement
Three Little Pitties Rescue is revolutionizing animal welfare for dogs and cats in Texas. We have created pathways to permanent, safe, and loving homes through adoption, transport and spay/neuter services.
About This Cause
Three Little Pitties is an all breed dog and cat rescue which saves Texas animals from euthanasia in full shelters, or the harsh Houston streets. Donations are desperately needed to continue these efforts as we've seen medical needs rise to an all time high since Covid, perhaps because of less intervention in picking up animals by area animal control. Expenses are very high, averaging over $35,000 per month for medical care of the animals alone. In Houston, Texas alone, where Three Little Pitties Rescue was founded, an average of 100 healthy and friendly dogs and cats are euthanized every single day due to shelters being overcrowded. We are committed to saving as many of these animals as possible by finding Texas fosters or boarding, fully vetting them, and matching them with loving forever families up north. The rescue fully vets the animals, then transports them to adopters across the Pacific Northwest. Our mission is to be the "just in time" solution for thousands of adoptable animals who deserve a second chance. The organization has saved over 12,000 innocent animals since 2018! We send our animals directly to adoptive families. The rescue operates a semi truck to transport these animals to their new families. We are USDA certified and pride ourselves in our upright, caring practices. The animals who come into our program are certainly the lucky ones. The rescue also strives to make an impact for the owned animals in the Houston community. We spay and neuter hundreds of owned or feral animals every year. We also try to intercept animals headed to full Houston shelters and instead make a plan for them to go straight to foster care, then on to a family. The team at Three Little Pitties Rescue is hard working, kind, and innovative. We are always working to perfect our practices to best use donated funds and save as many lives as possible.
