Mission Statement
KickOff Solutions works with non-profits, corporations, schools and communities to construct solutions for disadvantaged kids, particularly tribal girls, who want to play but seldom have adequate access to opportunities or facilities. We try and help arrange for sports infrastructure, coaching and sponsorships for broad exposure (including international tournaments) with an intention to develop role models whose efforts can be scaled
About This Cause
Kickoff Solutions is a Non-profit 501(c) 3 organization exempt from federal tax. Donors can deduct their donations from tax liability (IRS EIN no is 82-4726726). The goal: Is not necessarily to groom future sports stars but more to promote inclusion & self-belief through sport, with a focus on gender and socio-economic equality, much needed causes across the world and in India where girls and those from poor communities are often subtly denied opportunities to play. This is not a talent hunt, for we believe that everyone has a right to play; instead we look out for role models who can stand out for their ability to inspire other individuals or groups to create a sense of identity, belonging and leadership. E.g. Rupanti Munda who has been overcoming extreme poverty and violence to rekindle her sports journey, representing the country at the Homeless World Cup and now setting up her coaching academies in remote tribal villages. How you can help: Sponsor an individual or a team as they try to establish themselves by sponsoring infrastructure or their participation in an upcoming sports tournament. Select your preference, and we’ll ensure your contributions benefit kids from the organizations like the Oscar Foundation, Yuwa, or Aahan Tribal Development Foundation in India. Current Project (Fundraising Activity): OSCAR #kicklikeagirl UK Football Tour 2018 The OSCAR foundation works with young people and children living very challenging lives in the poorest communities across India. Over 60% of the OSCAR staff live in the communities they serve and are ideally placed to guide and mentor both parents and children. OSCAR children are taught to work hard, face difficulties with determination and to believe in their dreams. In 2017, 14 talented OSCAR boys were selected to take part in a football, education and culture tour of the UK. The tour was sponsored by thousands of school children, who did everything from run, swim, bake, hike and dribble a ball to raise money to make it happen. The tour touched the heart of the nation. The team was invited by Manchester United player, Juan Mata to a private tour of Old Trafford, they swung from zip wires at Go Ape, marvelled at The Lion King, had their heads in the clouds on the London Eye and learnt to sleep in a bed. The boys made new friends, ate new food with a knife and fork and tried and hated marmite. It was a cross cultural experience. A win win for all. It is now time for the OSCAR girls to hit the headlines. Please help OSCAR provide the same experience for 14 Under 17 girls in Oct 18
