About This Cause
Investing in a 21st Century Workforce to Build and Sustain World Class, Twenty-First Century Infrastructure Smart Resilient Secure Clean and Healthy Inclusive and Equitable Communities VISION Introducing Youth to American Infrastructure (IYAI+) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring, energizing, and engaging today’s youth to be tomorrow’s American infrastructure leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and skilled workforce – creating both good jobs and business opportunities – that build and sustain a world-class, 21st century infrastructure that will improve outcomes for all Americans. WHY? “People-readiness” is a high-risk challenge facing all of the critical lifeline infrastructure sectors. People of color, women, and our most vulnerable youth continue to be significantly under-represented in employment and business opportunities across the critical infrastructure sectors. Unlocking this potential is part of the solution to addressing a critical gap and advancing American competitiveness.
