About This Cause

Latin for “open your soul,” APERI ANIMAM is a Milwaukee–based ensemble, specializing in sacred vocal music from the Renaissance. Praised for their mindful & innovative programming as well as their vibrant and full–throated sound, the ensemble is characterized by the singers’ ability to sing fully as soloists while maintaining a balanced and unified sense of ensemble. They aim to present not only historically–informed performances, but also to manifest a wholesome, meditative environment, leaving their audiences renewed, energized, & questioning.
