Mission Statement
Established in 2001 as one of the most important networking tools for New England musicians, Boston Singers' Resource is a fully incorporated 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Its purpose is to support the New England classical singing community by providing educational, promotional and career service resources to New England classical singers, vocal organizations and to the general public. BSR currently provides this artistic support through its extensive website (www.BostonSingersResource.org), weekly Vocal Music Calendar emails; daily member announcements, professional development workshops and live audition opportunities.
About This Cause
Boston Singers’ Resource is an organization serving New England’s classical singing community through career development, continuing education, and resource sharing. We run annual combined-company auditions which allow singers to audition for multiple hiring professionals. Our blog shares posts relevant to our community. We run a workshop series providing skill building and education for singers at all levels of development; topics have included sight-singing, marketing, taxes and financial planning, equity advancement, and vocal techniques. We attempt to make our sector more equitable and welcoming by sharing information, aggregating audition and job postings, and promoting the work of New England’s classical singers.
