Mission Statement
The objective of GAMA is to spread the ideals of compassion, care and support, and thus preserve the culture of Kerala in the true tradition of peace and brotherhood.
About This Cause
Greater Austin Malayalee Association (GAMA) was officially formed on March 8, 2005. GAMA, an Austin based non profit organization whose mission is to preserve and promote the rich culture and tradition of Kerala. To achieve this objective and to bring the community together, GAMA conducts Malayalam language classes, organizes a variety of cultural, sports and charitable events throughout the year, among other activities. During 2019, GAMA has introduced a scholarship program to support the children in our community. GAMA has also contributed generoustly to Meals on Wheels, The Other Ones and Central Texas food as part of Covid and Hunger related charitable causes in the community. GAMA has supported and provided charitable aid to Hope Alliance and Hays Cladwell Womens Center which supports programs for Women in Distress in the community.
