Mission Statement
Minnesota Education Trust (MET) seeks to support religious centers, community centers and schools and to assist other organizations that serve goals similar to MET.
About This Cause
Minnesota Education Trust serves two significant roles for the community. We provide waqf services to Muslim institutions to preserve their real estate assets in a waqf (similar to a conservation land trust). We also serve as a community foundation to the Muslim community. In this capacity, we manage multiple Donor Advised Funds, which allow donors to provide block grants, endowments or bequests with recommendations on how to utilize these funds for the benefit of the community. By joining the Minnesota Education Trust, an institution truly becomes a Sadaqah Jaariyah – a continuous charity, joining Masjids, school or clinics in the safety and security of a Shariah Compliant real estate conservation arrangement designed to stand the test of time. As a waqf, we build, invest and distribute endowments dedicated to various beneficial causes.
