Mission Statement
Brain Bowl remains the only South Florida event, where three Alzheimer’s related non-profits unite to raise funds and awareness in our local community. The Luncheon benefits the Louis & Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center, the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Community Care and other local non-profit organizations that are all committed to helping families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or a related neurocognitive disorder. Over 1,000 business, community and political leaders are expected to attend this event to support those on the frontlines of fighting this horrific disease. In Palm Beach County alone, an estimated 1 in 3 individuals, over the age of 65, is impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Caring for those suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia poses a huge cost to those in the labor force, in terms of personal stress and lost work hours. Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias cost American businesses at least $61 billion a year, just in lost productivity and remains the only leading disease in our country with no cure or means to slow its progression. Your support will help us change that!
About This Cause
Our theme this year was “Caregiving Through the Ages”. In partnership with American Association of Caregiving Youth, we will highlight children caregivers, who will share their inspiring and heartwarming stories of sacrifice and love. Also, local Celebrity Models will participate in a fashion show to further honor the family caregivers in our community, who sacrifice so much to ensure the health and well-being of their loved-ones with dementia.
