Mission Statement
The mission of Chance2Change is to ensure individuals learn a high quality of safety training and career development services while performing efficient and current construction operations for all races and genders that face barriers to employment.
About This Cause
Chance 2 Change (C2C) was established in 2017 and recognized in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) non profit public charity entity, by founder Andrea Caraway. This organization was developed and derived from the founders past, and to also fulfill the void of heavy equipment operators. Andrea has over 18years experience in the construction industry which began after being incarcerated and experiencing her first child being born in prison (2001). Once released Andrea faced several obstacles and rejections, which several others often find themselves facing similar situations or issues. Andrea's perseverance refused to let her be a recidivism statistic, so she broke barriers through her accomplishments and has created a path for others to obtain a sustainable job with sustainable wages. Our target market are women, ex-offenders, underserved and underrepresented, at-risk youth, veterans, and minorities. Chance 2 Change(C2C) is an authorized training provider that specializes in OSHA and Specialty Construction trades, hands -on (heavy equipment) courses which qualifies individuals to operate dozers, excavators, loaders, etc., and job placement services. (C2C) has partnered with other entities and agencies to guarantee recruitment and job placement. We are also committed to serving the community by helping qualifying local farmers and landowners clear and maintain farmland. Since our formation we have volunteered our cleanup services and land beautification with larger organizations and continue to expand. As an advocate for successful re-entry to society we assist family members of incarcerated individuals through giving donated clothes and shoes. With plans of one day being able to give scholarships. Our commitment has been filled thru the diversity and inclusion we bring to the construction industry. We have a proven track record of providing awareness and careers in several communities.
